Chocolate Mayonnaise Cake

Chocolate Mayonnaise Cake! That’s right, today we are making Greg’s favorite cake, the Chocolate Mayonnaise Surprise Cake. A cake made with mayonnaise might sound a tad bit weird, but you have to remember, mayo is made with eggs and oil, which are two common ingredients in cake.

You can watch the video above to see how much fun we had while making this cake!

Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 350° F. You will need two large bowls for this recipe. In the first bowl, sift together the flour, baking soda, and cocoa. Set Aside. In another large bowl, mix together the sugar, mayonnaise (not salad dressing), water, and vanilla. Stir until very well blended. Now, stir in the flour mixture and blend it all together. You want to make sure all of the ingredients are moistened.
  2. Now it's time to grease your pans. We choose to use two layer pans, but you can also use a 9x13 pan. Spray your pan with bakers joy, and then pour in your cake mix. Bake at 350° F for 30 - 35 minutes if you used layered pans, and around 30 minutes if you use a 9x13. Use a toothpick to make sure they are done. Let cool completely, and then frost!
