  1. Preheat oven to 350 F degrees.
  2. In a mixing bowl, add chopped apples and coat with lemon juice so they don’t turn brown. Then add sugar and 1 tsp of the cinnamon. Stir together. Spray an 8×8 pan with a non stick spray and pour apple mixture into the pan.
  3. To make crisp topping, in a separate mixing bowl, take cold unsalted butter and cut into cubes. add brown sugar, oats, flour, and cinnamon. If you have a pastry cutter, but the butter into the mixture. If not, you can mash it with a fork. Take your time, and make topping crumbly.
  4. Spread topping evenly over the apples. Very gently pat it to make it even. Bake for 40 – 50 minutes, until the top turns golden brown and the apples are bubbly.
  5. Serve slightly warmed with toppings of your choice. We used salted caramel ice cream and caramel drizzle
