Preheat your oven to 325° . Take an 8×8 pan and lightly grease it or spray it with Bakers Joy. Whisk together the flour and salt, set aside. In a large bowl, with a hand mixer, blend together sugar and softened butter until crumbly. Now add the syrup, egg, and vanilla. Beat together at a low speed until smooth. Now add the flour mixture and the nuts and blend slowly, until it’s all combined. Pour into your baking pan. Bake for 40 – 45 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Let bars cool completely before frosting them
