Lay out some aluminum foil, and place parchment paper on top of that. Basically we want to build a boat for our bread so the eggs don’t seep out. Place the bread in the middle and fold up all the sides to create your bread boat. Whisk together eggs, milk and cinnamon. Take your chopped strawberries and place them in between the slices of bread to spread them out just a bit. Your bread in the boat should be slightly loose not tight together. Now slowly pour the egg mixture over the bread, trying to get it in between the slices. Tighten up your boat and take another piece of aluminum foil and close it up.
Now place this over a bed of hot coals on the fire or on a fire grill, and cook for around 40 minutes. If the bread is still squishy, go a bit longer. We ended up flipping ours over at 40 mins to crunch up the top as well. Serve with remaining strawberries and syrup and enjoy!
